THE DAILY TAX REPORT
Tuesday Night Baseball — September 15, 2026
Two Official Plays. No forcing the board. Just two spots worth paying for tonight.
We got to the baseball board late tonight, which means several games were already underway by the time we could attack the slate. That changes the job: we’re not manufacturing action just to fill a card.
We went through what remains and came away with two Official Plays.
⚾ OFFICIAL PLAY #1
NEW YORK YANKEES ML — -156 or better
This starts with the pitching matchup.
Max Fried gets the ball for New York against Bailey Ober. Fried enters tonight at 4-4 with a 2.73 ERA and 0.99 WHIP, while Ober carries a 4.28 ERA and 1.25 WHIP.
The Yankees are also coming off Monday night's 8-3 win in Minnesota, a game in which they exploded for six runs in the eighth inning and officially clinched a postseason berth.
There’s always a temptation to worry about a team relaxing immediately after clinching, but at this number we're willing to trust the starting-pitching advantage and the better overall club rather than overthink it.
The market on our board is sitting in the mid--150s, which is considerably more attractive than laying something approaching -180.
OFFICIAL PLAY: Yankees ML -156

⚾ OFFICIAL PLAY #2
SEATTLE MARINERS ML — -153 or better
This one is another starting-pitching play.
Seattle sends out Logan Gilbert, who comes in at 12-9 with a 3.72 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9.8 K/9. He struck out 11 over seven innings in his most recent start.
The Angels counter with Ryan Johnson, whose season numbers sit at 4-8 with a 5.12 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. Johnson has pitched significantly better recently, so this isn't a blind fade — but over the full body of work, Gilbert is still the arm we want.
Seattle dropped the opener 6-4 Monday, but Gilbert gives them a legitimate chance to control this game from the mound tonight. The Mariners are 14-8 when Gilbert has started as a moneyline favorite this season.
At the -153 range available on our board, we'll back the pitching edge.

That's it.
Two games. Two plays. No need to turn a shortened Tuesday card into a six-bet lottery ticket.

🏈 COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING GUIDE
Football is here, and the College Football Betting Guide remains available for $19.99 standalone — and it's included with Tax Code membership.
The entire philosophy carries over from baseball: bet numbers, not names; understand what the market is telling you; and stop paying a premium simply because you like the logo on the helmet.
No locks. No gimmicks. Just better-informed betting.
