📒 THIS WEEK’S LEDGER
Official Plays: 0–1
Official Props: 0–2
Leans: 2–2
Monday’s Jaxson Dart rushing prop is recorded as a loss on our ledger, even though his opening-series injury never gave the wager a legitimate chance to develop. If your sportsbook voided the wager or graded it no-action because of the injury, your personal prop record would differ.
Tuesday didn’t help: Minnesota was the wrong WNBA side, and Taj Bradley finished with 6 strikeouts against a 6.5 number.
No excuses. On to tonight.
⚾ OFFICIAL PLAY
Milwaukee Brewers Moneyline — around -130
This is the one spot on tonight’s board where I’m comfortable putting the Official tag.
Milwaukee enters 98–59, the best record in baseball, and the starting-pitching matchup is the biggest reason we're interested tonight. Logan Henderson is 10–3 with a 2.51 ERA and 0.81 WHIP. Aaron Nola is 7–10 with a 4.49 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. Milwaukee also owns the better full-season run production and pitching numbers.
Philadelphia absolutely has motivation in the Wild Card race, so we're not dismissing the Phillies. But motivation doesn't erase what looks like a substantial starting-pitching advantage.
OFFICIAL PLAY: Milwaukee Brewers ML
Play to: -140.
If you're getting -130 or better, that's the number I want.
👀 LEAN
Cleveland Guardians Moneyline +120 or better
Cleveland is riding a five-game winning streak and is right in the middle of the AL Central race. Foster Griffin has been solid at 15–5 with a 3.67 ERA, although Boston counters with Sonny Gray at 17–5 with a 2.82 ERA.
The interesting part is the price. Cleveland has gone 12–5 when Griffin starts as a moneyline underdog, and we're getting plus money again tonight.
There’s enough there to interest us, but Gray on the other side keeps it below Official status.
LEAN: Cleveland Guardians ML +120 or better
🏀 WNBA LEAN
Atlanta Dream -2.5 at New York Liberty
The board has moved toward Atlanta, and -2.5 is the number I want — not -3.5.
Atlanta has been one of the league's stronger two-way teams, while New York is dealing with a compromised roster and has already had a difficult recent scheduling stretch. The Dream also won the previous meeting in New York earlier this week.
But this is the final day of the regular season with playoff positioning involved, and we've already seen the number move. I'm not chasing it.
LEAN: Atlanta Dream -2.5
Pass at -3.5 or worse.
🚫 EVERYTHING ELSE
There are plenty of tempting prices tonight — Atlanta laying -250ish in baseball, the Dodgers north of -200, Cubs around -170 — but we're not paying huge moneyline tax just because the favorite looks obvious.
And after missing two props to open the week, there will be no Official Prop tonight unless the number and matchup truly demand one.
TONIGHT’S CARD
OFFICIAL PLAY: Milwaukee Brewers ML — play to -140
LEAN: Cleveland Guardians ML +120 or better
LEAN: Atlanta Dream -2.5 — pass at -3.5
That’s the card.
Three positions. One Official. No forced prop. No chasing.
