The Square Tax

Welcome back to The Square Tax.

We've got a full 15-game MLB slate tonight. These are the days when the public usually overextends themselves, betting favorites and forcing action on every game. Our job is different—we're looking for value, not entertainment.

Current lines as of 2:35 PM ET at the time of publication. Odds can and will move, so always confirm the number before placing your wager.

🎯 Official Plays

Braves Moneyline (1 Unit)

Current Line: -141 (FanDuel)

Best Line Available

  • DraftKings: -141

  • FanDuel: -141

  • BetMGM: -145

Atlanta gets the starting pitching edge tonight. I'd play this up to about -145. Beyond that, the value starts to shrink.

Phillies Moneyline (1 Unit)

Current Line: -128 (FanDuel)

Best Line Available

  • DraftKings: -125

  • FanDuel: -128

  • BetMGM: -130

Zack Wheeler gives Philadelphia the edge. If this drops closer to -120, that's even better.

👀 Lean

Brewers Moneyline

Current market: Around -140

Milwaukee continues to play solid baseball, but it just misses becoming an official play.

📈 Line to Watch

Dodgers (+117) at Phillies (-128).

Watch this one during the afternoon. If the Phillies climb into the -140s, some of today's value disappears. If the line drifts back toward -120, that's a stronger entry point.

🚨 Square Trap

Yankees (-130) vs. Pirates (+115).

The Yankees are going to attract plenty of public money tonight. That doesn't automatically make them the wrong side—it just means you're paying a premium.

If you're looking for value, Pittsburgh at +115 is the more interesting number.

There are fifteen games today.

We're officially betting two.

That's not because we couldn't find more action.

It's because we couldn't find more value.
